Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nunez Fernandez made the kick off which started today's match. After 2 played minutes Mazaredo got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Cutberto. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sporting Club Palermo! When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Mazaredo's Marciano Txaran got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arnoldo Bela. Valentin Blasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Bordat, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Lino Guerrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Valentin Blasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Lino Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Blasi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mazaredo's Edelmiro Medardo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arnoldo Bela but with some difficulty. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Enrique Sancho put in a rough tackle. 22 minutes into the game, one of Sporting Club Palermo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Mazaredo. Marciano Txaran stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnoldo Bela. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Ismael Vela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Bela was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Lino Guerrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lino Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Cutberto kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nunez Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnoldo Bela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Vela in the 55th minute of play. Mazaredo's Nunez Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inocencio Francis's late challenge caught a Mazaredo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inocencio Francis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Sporting Club Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Francis to maneuver through the defense. If Nunez Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lino Guerrero got free with Valentin Blasi in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lino Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Blasi having to interfere. The supporters of Sporting Club Palermo booed when Mazaredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Club Palermo's Arnoldo Bela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Vela in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute Nunez Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Bela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sporting Club Palermo defense, Nunez Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnoldo Bela. The Sporting Club Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnoldo Bela should have stopped the shot. Lino Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Blasi having to interfere. Valentin Blasi made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Lino Guerrero sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 93 minutes, Ismael Vela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mazaredo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Vela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute Nunez Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Bela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sporting Club Palermo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mazaredo.
