The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Nerio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimeno Illart was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. With a little luck, Olmos's Juan Paskal got control of the ball when Alejandro Chepe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Conrado Onbera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Paskal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes Olmos got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Karmel. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Conrado Onbera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Algarrobal's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Onbera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Paskal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Alejandro Chepe made a precise shot to the right of Juan Paskal. Olmos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Algarrobal's Jimeno Illart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Gimenez in the 46th minute of play. Vladimiro Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Illart having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jimeno Illart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Onbera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Algarrobal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
