The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gervasio Vistruario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Erauso in the 6th minute of play. Rosario Central's Sergio Iaki got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 played minutes Corazon Millonario got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Valente. Anastasio Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Iaki in the 18th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Apolo Frechoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corazon Millonario and the Rosario Central players grew even worse after the yellow card. Apolo Frechoso kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Sergio Iaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Erramun having to interfere. Felipe Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 23 played minutes, Rosario Central's Gerardo Maria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anastasio Erramun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rosario Central reached it. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Saturnino Feo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anastasio Erramun. In the 37th minute of the match Eleuterio Cordeal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gervasio Vistruario showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Saturnino Feo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Anastasio Erramun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Iaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Erramun having to interfere. After the first half Rosario Central were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cleto Erauso made a kick off. Corazon Millonario's Anastasio Erramun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Feo in the 53rd minute of play. Sergio Iaki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Anastasio Erramun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corazon Millonario's Felix Txartiko got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cleto Erauso came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Corazon Millonario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Erauso couldn't finish the play. Gervasio Vistruario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Valente in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Cleto Erauso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corazon Millonario fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 83 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's Saturnino Feo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Erramun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Apolo Frechoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gervasio Vistruario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Eleuterio Cordeal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rosario Central's Clodoveo Iigo pulled a muscle in his leg after 91 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 91 minutes of play Corazon Millonario's Apolo Frechoso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Sergio Iaki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Iaki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Erramun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saturnino Feo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Anastasio Erramun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
