Antonio Javiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ignacio Senon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Senon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Chayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Babilonia AFC's Florencio Baldovino got a free kick in the 11th minute. Melquiades Tibalt's shot from long distance in the 12th minute was not bad at all, but Babilonia AFC's Erubiel Llorienzo knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 14 minutes into the match, Babilonia AFC's goalkeeper Erubiel Llorienzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elias Erroman. After a defensive mix-up in Babilonia AFC's zone, Elias Erroman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Llorienzo came out of the goal and Elias Erroman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Salomone hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Lanus FC's Ignacio Senon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Javiar in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Marcial Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Babilonia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Chayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Senon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ignacio Senon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Chayo in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Javiar in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignacio Senon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute Antonio Javiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Senon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Chayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Rogelio Palben sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lanus FC's Ignacio Senon didn't even have to move. In the 47th minute Marcial Chayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Senon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Babilonia AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Javiar made a kick off. When Antonio Javiar came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Babilonia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Javiar couldn't finish the play. Marcial Chayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ignacio Senon made a huge save. Antonio Javiar struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ignacio Senon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Babilonia AFC. In the 58th minute, Marcial Chayo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ignacio Senon, passed just outside the right post. The audience was convinced that Antonio Javiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacio Senon was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Marcial Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Senon having to interfere. Marcial Chayo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Ignacio Senon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Elias Erroman came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Lanus FC fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Babilonia AFC booed when Lanus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Bidun didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Lanus FC's goalkeeper Ignacio Senon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Chayo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcial Chayo got free with Ignacio Senon in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Babilonia AFC's Antonio Javiar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ignacio Senon. That made the score 0-2 after 73 minutes of play. If Marcial Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Angel Vito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
