The audience was convinced that Leonides Boni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaspar Bernabel was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Boni in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Bernabel saved Atl. Libertador from getting behind. If Wilfredo Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Furman kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Wilfredo Fonsos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Rafael Edorta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
