When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Artemio Muno sped through Villafañe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arturo Pedroso. If Virgilio Salomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Villafañe booed when Naggasaki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Javiar didn't get a good kick on the ball.
