Lules's Leonides Acevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Lules from getting a goal against them. Lules's Leonides Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Uxio in the 23rd minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Denis Mingo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lules's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saguier AFC the free kick. After 30 played minutes Lules got a freekick which was hit by Denis Mingo. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Arsenio Mergildo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jonas Uxio got in the 34th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Leonides Acevedo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Uxio was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Lules getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Arturo Vistruario hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Arsenio Mergildo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonides Acevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Uxio's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. If Jonas Uxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
