In the 6th minute, Bernardino Malvin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Javier Diegotxe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samborombón's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Diegotxe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Horacio Atarrabi came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Deportivo Wanchope fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Atarrabi couldn't finish the play. When Hipolito Colas fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samborombón's protests and gave Hipolito Colas a yellow card for diving instead. Hipolito Colas hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Elpidio Urbez hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Isaac Millano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Wanchope's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Samborombón the free kick. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Wanchope's Isaac Millano got a free kick in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Samborombón's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Atarrabi came free, but Feliberto Maurin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Joaquin Quin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliberto Maurin was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Matias Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Malvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Elpidio Urbez's late challenge caught a Samborombón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elpidio Urbez helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Deportivo Wanchope got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Urbez. Joaquin Quin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Atarrabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Feliberto Maurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardino Malvin made a kick off. Virgilio Efraim kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Hipolito Colas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samborombón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Colas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matias Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Malvin in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Remigio Ordono had to leave the field with a concussion. Hipolito Colas was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Joaquin Quin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Feliberto Maurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Samborombón getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Bernardino Malvin hit a great ball. Jimeno Elija kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Samborombón's Javier Diegotxe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matias Fernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Arsenio Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elpidio Urbez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Samborombón fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deportivo Wanchope had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
