Arnulfo Petrigai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Xabier having to interfere. Epifanio Sugar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Epifanio Sugar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Justo Hibai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ignacio Herena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Epifanio Sugar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. Elephant Cemetery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Unai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Elephant Cemetery's Epifanio Sugar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignacio Herena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Omar Matthew charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Matthew the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Fela Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Omar Matthew. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Petrigai was the one to do the kick off. Gaudencio Xabier made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Cristobal Osoitz sent off a good shot on target. Elephant Cemetery's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
