Ignacio Egun came out of the goal and Generoso Maura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermengildo Sayvion to strike the kick off in the second half. Ignacio Egun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodolfo Liberto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. Dante Micael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Egun having to interfere. The supporters of Itatí booed when Porto Argentino Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Sayvion didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Itatí could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Porto Argentino Fc throughout the match.
