The supporters of Tablada AFC booed when Faro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Firmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tablada AFC's Raul Mouricio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Faro. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Faro's goalkeeper Tomas Casado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Faro's Tomas Casado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Ciano in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Francisco Micael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Inocencio Ciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tablada AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocencio Ciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eriberto Dacio's late challenge caught a Tablada AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Dacio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Eriberto Dacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Rigoberto Mark managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Mark stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Faro's Alfonso Perpinya got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Braulio Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Mark in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Tablada AFC's Eriberto Dino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomas Casado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inocencio Ciano got free with Tomas Casado in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Israel Felipo fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tablada AFC's protests and gave Israel Felipo a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Eriberto Dino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
