In the 3rd minute, Gogo Stanislao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. River Plate's Leonides Katia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Kenai F.C. booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Goito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Geronimo Vidal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and River Plate's Leonides Katia didn't even have to move. Octavio Unax kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Kenai F.C. getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Geronimo Vidal hit a great ball. Paulo Opilano, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Feliciano Jerardo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Leonides Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Phelipe in the 25th minute of the match. Nunez Gelmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geronimo Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geronimo Vidal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Kenai F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Vidal. Ermegildo Tirso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leonides Katia firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gogo Stanislao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Gines having to interfere. Alfredo Loreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Gines having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 55 played minutes Kenai F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Primo. Maximino Primo charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Primo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Gogo Stanislao had to leave the field with a concussion. 58 minutes into the game, one of Kenai F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Rolando Gines, was totally fooled by River Plate's Paulo Opilano, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 71 minutes, Ermegildo Tirso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kenai F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Tirso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ermegildo Tirso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Katia having to interfere. If Ermegildo Tirso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 77 minutes into the match, Nereo Guerau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Katia. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nereo Guerau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Kenai F.C.'s Rolando Gines got control of the ball when Severo Porfirio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kenai F.C.'s zone, Severo Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Gines came out of the goal and Severo Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenai F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
