Atilano Oalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Cutberto in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Libertad AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Maidana to maneuver through the defense. Remes's Gregorio Cutberto got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Idacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Atilano Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Gregorio Cutberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Oalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Remes booed when Libertad AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Joel Gerazan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Atilano Oalo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Remes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Celestino Navarro scored to the left of an out of position Roque Miliano, making the score, 1-0. Gregorio Cutberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Oalo having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Libertad AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Idacio came free, but Atilano Oalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gregorio Cutberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atilano Oalo was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Libertad AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Feliciano Maidana hit a great ball. Remes's Alberto Idacio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Remes defense, Remigio Conrao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Miliano. The Remes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Miliano should have stopped the shot. Alberto Idacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Oalo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artemio Ixona during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Remes got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Ixona. In the 96th minute, Remigio Conrao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Libertad AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
