After a rather tough play, Libertad AFC's Feliciano Maidana got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Fabian Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Cruzados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Micael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Baltasar Pio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Libertad AFC the free kick. A collision led to Libertad AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Feliciano Maidana hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Libertad AFC's goalkeeper Atilano Oalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fabian Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Remigio Conrao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cruzados played a much better game than Libertad AFC and deserved their victory. The Libertad AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
