Haroldo Senins short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Filiberto Serafo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Simon Arnas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Leopoldo Refugio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Mateo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Refugio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Mateo having to interfere. A collision led to Pico y Pala getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Robustiano Escobar hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Hell Fire Club's Leopoldo Refugio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisito Mateo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Haroldo Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Isauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Mateo having to interfere. If Denis Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Haroldo Senin made a precise shot to the right of Filiberto Serafo. Hell Fire Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 40 minutes into the match, Pico y Pala's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Refugio came free, but Luisito Mateo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Serafo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Cefero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Refugio struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Luisito Mateo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hell Fire Club. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Hernan Isauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Luisito Mateo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Refugio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisito Mateo was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. If Haroldo Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Cefero couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pico y Pala's goalkeeper Luisito Mateo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Hell Fire Club got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Refugio. Haroldo Senin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Serafo having to interfere.
