Luisito Mateo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Joey in the 13th minute. A collision led to La nueva 12 getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Filomeno Pancho hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Denis Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Urtungo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Senin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Urtungo having to interfere. Denis Cefero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Haroldo Senin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pico y Pala's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Senin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romulo Urtungo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Senin in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romulo Urtungo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerardo Joey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Luisito Mateo made a huge save. Haroldo Senin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisito Mateo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Ellande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 played minutes Pico y Pala got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Escobar. Luisito Mateo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Joey in the 34th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Gerardo Joey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La nueva 12's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Joey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Robustiano Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filomeno Pancho's late challenge caught a Pico y Pala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filomeno Pancho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47thth minute of the game Denis Cefero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La nueva 12's Romulo Urtungo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Romulo Urtungo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Senin in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Pico y Pala's Haroldo Senin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romulo Urtungo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luisito Mateo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerardo Joey's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the Pico y Pala defense, Gerardo Joey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Mateo. The Pico y Pala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Mateo should have stopped the shot. Luisito Mateo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Joey, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Luisito Mateo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Joey in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, La nueva 12's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Cefero came free, but Romulo Urtungo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Cefero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pico y Pala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. La nueva 12's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
