An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Escobar in the 42nd minute of play forced La Piedra's goalkeeper Alberto Nuxila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Nuxila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Cefero, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. La Piedra's Alberto Nuxila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Senin in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Piedra's goalkeeper Alberto Nuxila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Feliberto Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Diaz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luisito Mateo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Robustiano Escobar might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Nuxila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
