But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Betadur couldn't finish the play. Patoruzu Fulbo Clu's Prudencio Iago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Patoruzu Fulbo Clu from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Jaime Betadur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tambería's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Betadur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Iago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eulalio Santikurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tambería's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
