Nathaniel Connolly didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabricio Poz went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Fabricio Poz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nathaniel Connolly was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 42 minutes into the game, Cirilo Sindo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blanquiceleste F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rivadeo FC the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Cirilo Sindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabricio Poz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Nathaniel Connolly managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Rivadeo FC's Gaston Emenon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tomás Gonsalve might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narciso Marquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Gonsalve ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabricio Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nathaniel Connolly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabricio Poz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nathaniel Connolly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Tomás Gonsalve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rivadeo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! In the 79th match minute, Blanquiceleste F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Ursino to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Rivadeo FC's Clemente Mirande tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Robustiano Nel's late challenge caught a Rivadeo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robustiano Nel helped the player get up and apologised. Robustiano Nel hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Fabricio Poz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Jairo Galeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Blanquiceleste F.C. getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Leonel Sergi hit a great ball. 100 minutes into the match, Rivadeo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Gonsalve came free, but Narciso Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Blanquiceleste F.C. had won after a very even match.
