Junín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Osasun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Rivadeo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Junín:s goal. Junín's Rogelio Cruz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Narciso Marquez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Carmelo Sein put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Narciso Marquez. When Carmelo Sein came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Junín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Sein couldn't finish the play. Narciso Marquez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicanor Osasun went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Emilio Gilen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Poz in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Carmelo Sein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junín's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Sein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaston Emenon hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saverio Jaen in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Marquez saved Rivadeo FC from getting behind. Nicanor Osasun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Marquez having to interfere. A collision led to Rivadeo FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gerardo Cuarto hit a great ball. If Carmelo Sein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicanor Osasun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Sein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When German Nalo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. A collision led to Rivadeo FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. German Nalo hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Nicanor Osasun lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Narciso Marquez. Narciso Marquez made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Nicanor Osasun sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 67 minutes, Nicanor Osasun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
