Marlborough FC's Danilo Salvadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Tadzio in the 13th minute of play. Gaston Cordarrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Salvadore having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Marlborough FC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Joachim. Danilo Salvadore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Tadzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th match minute, Martínez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Valentine to maneuver through the defense. Filomeno Joachim kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Tadeo Bernat struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Danilo Salvadore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martínez. In the 30th minute Baltasar Abilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Salvadore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaston Cordarrel went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Carmelo Clementi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ivan Ostargi made a huge save. The supporters of Marlborough FC booed when Martínez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Tadzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Javier Tadzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Javier Tadzio made the kick off in the second half. If Leopoldo Venceslas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Ivan Ostargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Danilo Salvadore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Tadzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaston Cordarrel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Danilo Salvadore when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Marcos Bonadona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Ostargi. Martínez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Bonadona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 73rd minute, Leopoldo Venceslas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marlborough FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Leopoldo Venceslas's late challenge caught a Martínez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 94thth minute of the game Baltasar Abilio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marlborough FC's Danilo Salvadore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danilo Salvadore came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Martínez's Javier Tadzio. But to his dismay, Javier Tadzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. When the final whistle sounded Martínez left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marlborough FC.
