If Marcial Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcial Argider fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caracú's protests and gave Marcial Argider a yellow card for diving instead. Marcial Argider hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Lapurdi got free with Benito Tano in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Chuan to make the kick off. Federico Fix's late challenge caught a La Masía's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnulfo Dalmu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Ostargi having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
