After recieving a nice pass, SanBerCity United's Placido Ipar tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cecilio Leoiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Anacleto Ondino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anacleto Ondino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Belarmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the SanBerCity United defense, Felipe Belarmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anacleto Ondino. The SanBerCity United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anacleto Ondino should have stopped the shot. Anacleto Ondino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Leoiar in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, SanBerCity United's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Gaxan came free, but Anacleto Ondino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Belarmo in the 37th minute of play forced SanBerCity United's goalkeeper Anacleto Ondino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Eufemio got free with Tadeo Montes in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Rolando Eufemio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edgard Librado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Librado might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeo Montes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Librado ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 71st match minute, Desaguadero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Ekain to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Eufemio in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Montes saved Desaguadero FC from getting behind. In the 76th minute of the match Placido Ipar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeo Montes skillfully saved the ball. If Edgard Librado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cecilio Leoiar came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Desaguadero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Leoiar couldn't finish the play. If Cecilio Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, SanBerCity United failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
