The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Estefan during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Isidoro Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Martin Huly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Dolcet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Ladislao Quico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Martin Huly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 played minutes Pueblito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan George. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Martin Huly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pueblito AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Huly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Dolcet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Barto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Romeo Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pueblito AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Naelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Dolcet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Martin Huly made a precise shot to the right of Filiberto Dolcet. Deportivo Peroné's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 29th match minute, Deportivo Peroné was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Toribio to maneuver through the defense. Filiberto Dolcet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Huly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Deportivo Peroné getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ulises Toribio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Peroné's zone, Arnoldo Santiago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Dolcet came out of the goal and Arnoldo Santiago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Santiago in the 45th minute of play forced Deportivo Peroné's goalkeeper Filiberto Dolcet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Pueblito AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Candido Madeo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Pueblito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Ekain to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute of the match Ulises Toribio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Arias skillfully saved the ball. Candido Madeo took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavino Arias. Gavino Arias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Haroldo Quinto kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Arnoldo Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Dolcet having to interfere. David Barto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Romeo Naelio fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pueblito AFC's protests and gave Romeo Naelio a yellow card for diving instead. Romeo Naelio hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Gavino Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Barto, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Martin Huly struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Filiberto Dolcet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pueblito AFC. Pueblito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Huly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Filiberto Dolcet made a huge save. In the 93rd minute Candido Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Filiberto Dolcet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pueblito AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
