To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Fertus got free with Fernando Cruz in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the game, Christian Venceslas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garrayalde FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aguaray fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Garrayalde FC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Saturnino Benvido, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aguaray's Luisito Perico. 0-1. 32 minutes into the game, Alfredo Larpe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garrayalde FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aguaray fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Saturnino Benvido placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 34 minutes into the match, Garrayalde FC's goalkeeper Fernando Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Fertus. If Adolfo Fertus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Peru in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomiro Peru was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Seme in the 59th minute of play forced Aguaray's goalkeeper Luisito Perico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cayetano Pacho got free with Luisito Perico in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Adolfo Fertus sped through Garrayalde FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Cruz. If Baldomiro Peru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomiro Peru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cruz having to interfere. In the 74th minute Adolfo Fertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Remicio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 played minutes Aguaray got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Larpe. Adolfo Fertus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cruz having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Carlos Txatxu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Cruz. Garrayalde FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Txatxu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Adolfo Fertus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Benvido kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Aguaray's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
