In the 15th minute there was a penalty for C. A. Sangre y Barro. Wilfredo Pasqual stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angelino Elequemedo. 0-1. Fabian Sal made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nereo Evangelista sent off a good shot on target. Santiago Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fabian Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Nereo Evangelista elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nereo Evangelista scored 2-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Sal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelino Elequemedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Baladi went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Quilumpa booed when C. A. Sangre y Barro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Galtero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nereo Evangelista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
