Spectators: 7136 (Terracing: 5439, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 30) Matilde FC's Florencio Leguizamón started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Matilde FC's Florencio Leguizamón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Placido Sasoin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lino Rocendo charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Matilde FC booed when Cafayate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Rocendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cafayate's zone, Remigio Dino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Sasoin came out of the goal and Remigio Dino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 9 minutes, Prospero Serafo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matilde FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Serafo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 10 played minutes Matilde FC got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Leguizamón. If Filomeno Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eriberto Gaspard came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Cafayate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Gaspard couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the game, Ricardo Ado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cafayate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matilde FC the free kick. After 21 played minutes Cafayate got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Ado. Anselmo Gitano, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. During the 27th minute of the match Lino Rocendo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lino Rocendo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lino Rocendo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Cafayate's Placido Sasoin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Cafayate from getting a goal against them. A well placed Florencio Leguizamón short distance shot in the 32nd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After a rather tough play, Cafayate's Eriberto Gaspard got a free kick in the 37th minute. Florencio Leguizamón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Placido Sasoin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filomeno Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filomeno Jacindo made a kick off. Leo Haritz charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Haritz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leo Haritz kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Matilde FC's goalkeeper Eloy Kinsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filomeno Jacindo. When Eriberto Gaspard fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cafayate's protests and gave Eriberto Gaspard a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Matilde FC booed when Cafayate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Gaspard didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Matilde FC's Remigio Dino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Sasoin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 71 minutes of play, Matilde FC's Remigio Dino made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Placido Sasoin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filomeno Jacindo might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Kinsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filomeno Jacindo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute Eriberto Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matilde FC's goalkeeper Eloy Kinsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filomeno Jacindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Filomeno Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigio Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Placido Sasoin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Paskal might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Kinsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gervasio Paskal ran back to his position shaking his head. After 95 played minutes Matilde FC got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Leguizamón. Matilde FC's Eloy Kinsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Matilde FC from getting a goal against them.
