But to his dismay, Eloy Clemencin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, boca juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Bermudo came free, but Emiliano Micael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Gipuzkoa charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Gipuzkoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Auberdine FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Evelio Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. During the 16th minute of the match Evelio Gipuzkoa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Evelio Gipuzkoa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Placido Bermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Auberdine FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Bermudo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Micael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, boca juniors's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eloy Clemencin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Saul Pietro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eloy Clemencin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, one of Auberdine FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Auberdine FC. Lu Chang Wei went to the wrong direction when Iker Petri was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Emiliano Micael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Clemencin, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Eloy Clemencin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
