Gilberto Matro came out of the goal and Jesus Ugaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Iago's late challenge caught a Redonditos de Riquelme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Iago helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Iago hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 20 minutes, Santos Inautzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Redonditos de Riquelme and the Atlético Devoto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Redonditos de Riquelme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Inautzi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 26 minutes, Jesus Ugaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Devoto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Ugaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Aristides Guillelme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gaudencio Quintana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Pierres in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaudencio Quintana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Aristides Guillelme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Guillelme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gaudencio Quintana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Iago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Atlético Devoto's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Pierres came free, but Gaudencio Quintana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Aristides Guillelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Quintana having to interfere. A hard shot 61 in the game by Jesus Ugaitz from a close distance when the talented Gilberto Matro managed to make a qualified save. Redonditos de Riquelme's players were relieved. In the 64th minute, Jesus Ugaitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Guillelme in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Quintana saved Atlético Devoto from getting behind.
