The crowd rose to their feet as Soitué's Leandro Maurin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Celestino Beltran. That made the score 1-1 after 8 minutes of play. After 11 played minutes Peto Chico got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Pepillo. Igor Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Celestino Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celestino Beltran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Azevedo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Peto Chico's zone, Leandro Maurin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Beltran came out of the goal and Leandro Maurin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Soitué's Igor Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Igor Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Atilano Belo fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peto Chico's protests and gave Atilano Belo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peto Chico getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Atilano Belo hit a great ball. After 31 minutes, Federico Frasquito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peto Chico and the Soitué players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Peto Chico got a freekick which was hit by Federico Frasquito. Igor Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Celestino Beltran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soitué. Celestino Beltran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Maurin in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Soitué's zone, Silvestre Henrico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Cristofor came out of the goal and Silvestre Henrico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leandro Maurin was the one to do the kick off. Silvestre Henrico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Raul Cristofor made a huge save. If Igor Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Astor Emeterio during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Soitué got a freekick which was hit by Astor Emeterio. After having played for 64 minutes, Isaac Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soitué's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Cordara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Maurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Leandro Maurin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soitué's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Maurin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Beltran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
