Emilio Grabiel came out of the goal and Nereo Frantzes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lucio Leocadio came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Philipps AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Leocadio couldn't finish the play. Emilio Grabiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Frantzes in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nereo Frantzes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Vicente Sansone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Frantzes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Emilio Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Philipps AFC booed when carlitos tevez F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Matai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philipps AFC's Vicente Sansone suffered a sore thigh after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Nuxila during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Philipps AFC's Jorge Estevon was substituted for Vicente Sansone.
