The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Basajaun got free with Nereo Raymon in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 20 minutes, Ciro Cugat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. QUEMEROS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Cugat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of QUEMEROS FC booed when Naunauco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Panpili didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Cugat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jonatan Taurino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Naunauco defense, Ciro Cugat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonatan Taurino. The Naunauco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonatan Taurino should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute Paulino Osorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Taurino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Naunauco's zone, Jacinto Gonza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Taurino came out of the goal and Jacinto Gonza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Gonza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nereo Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Basajaun in the 72nd minute of the match. Dionisio Frisco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Raymon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play.
