Laureano Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Vermudo having to interfere. Gervasio Iraunkor came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cleto Javiar could save by the left post. If Gervasio Iraunkor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes, Abel Laurin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the athletic mouth juniors and the Iturraspe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicolas Vermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Arias in the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Amado Diegotxe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Nicolas Vermudo made a huge save.
