The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorio Galtero in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisito Vistruario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Pavón's Agustin Teyo got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Emilio Curcio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Lope showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th minute, Freddy Oriol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorio Galtero struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Luisito Vistruario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pavón. When Pavón's Victorio Galtero in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NUR's goalie prevented a goal. 18 minutes into the game, Raimundo Lucila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luisito Vistruario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pavón's Ramiro Lope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Gartzi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Raimundo Lucila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Vistruario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored NUR's protests and gave Emilio Curcio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, one of NUR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for NUR. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Pavón. Hipolito Rioja stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luisito Vistruario. 0-2. A collision led to NUR getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Freddy Oriol hit a great ball.

Luisito Vistruario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Raimundo Lucila might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luisito Vistruario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Lucila ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Haritz scored 0-3 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luisito Vistruario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Sanson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, NUR's Isaac Gartzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro Lope made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 75th minute, Pavón's Raimundo Lucila dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Lucila in the 79th minute of play forced NUR's goalkeeper Luisito Vistruario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Raimundo Lucila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pavón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Lucila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teofilo Matxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Luisito Vistruario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, NUR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Oriol to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Luisito Vistruario managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Pavón's Teofilo Matxin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 91st minute, Gabriel Sanson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute Isaac Gartzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Lope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
