Anselmo Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Vistruario having to interfere. If Ceferino Gauargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anselmo Caetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Luisito Vistruario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaac Gartzi made a kick off. Aldo Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Anselmo Caetano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arsenio Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, La Marea Roja's Leopoldo Mosen got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 69th minute, Christian Cesaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luisito Vistruario. The goal made the score 1-3. After having played for 73 minutes, Aldo Napier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Marea Roja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Napier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anselmo Caetano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Caetano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Luisito Vistruario made a huge save. Faustino Cambranes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Gartzi in the 93rd minute of play. In the 97th minute, Fernando Guillelme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Marea Roja's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
