The Balonmano FC fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Balonmano FC's Marciano Laurentzi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cornelio Oinatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Balonmano FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Marciano Laurentzi hit a great ball. The supporters of Retomados FC booed when Balonmano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Laurentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marciano Laurentzi came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Balonmano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Laurentzi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Marko in the 27th minute of play forced Balonmano FC's goalkeeper Nicasio Ursino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Cornelio Cisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Retomados FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Oinatz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Retomados FC's zone, Pablo Tancredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Oinatz came out of the goal and Pablo Tancredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marciano Laurentzi scored 0-4 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Oinatz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 minutes of play, Balonmano FC's Evaristo Domingues made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Oinatz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Laurentzi to make the kick off. Cornelio Oinatz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evaristo Domingues in the 54th minute. Marciano Laurentzi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Cornelio Oinatz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Tancredo got free with Cornelio Oinatz in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th match minute, Retomados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Marciano Laurentzi sped through Retomados FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cornelio Oinatz. Marciano Laurentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Oinatz having to interfere. If Evaristo Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Oinatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Gimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marciano Laurentzi struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Cornelio Oinatz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balonmano FC. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Marciano Laurentzi put it in 1-8 from a short distance just to the right of Cornelio Oinatz. If Marciano Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balonmano FC's Pablo Tancredo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidoro Tirso kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Balonmano FC played a much better game than Retomados FC and deserved their victory. The Retomados FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
