The audience was convinced that Luis Cresconio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Joey was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Nestor Gabon charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Gabon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of RIO LIMAY booed when Gerli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Gabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bonifacio Donostia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Inko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to RIO LIMAY getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alberto Ayala hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes Gonzalo Chico rounded RIO LIMAY's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Valentin Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Joey having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, RIO LIMAY's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valentin Nofre fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luis Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Octavio Joey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gerli FC booed when RIO LIMAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Arlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Luis Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerli FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Cresconio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, one of RIO LIMAY:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for RIO LIMAY. When the match had been going on for 41 minutes, Gerli FC's Hugo Peter got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Octavio Joey. Alejo Malvin hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Octavio Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Chico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Cresconio to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gonzalo Chico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerli FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Chico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Joey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. RIO LIMAY's Octavio Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Nofre in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, Gerli FC's Luis Cresconio made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Joey was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 64 minutes, Luis Cresconio made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. RIO LIMAY's Octavio Joey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Cresconio in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Joey saved RIO LIMAY from getting behind. Bonifacio Donostia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Inko, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Valentin Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerli FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Nofre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Joey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Gerli FC's Gonzalo Chico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Joey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Luis Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gerli FC's Bonifacio Donostia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Gerli FC from getting a goal against them. After 83 played minutes Gerli FC got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Baumar. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Bonifacio Donostia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 87 minutes into the game, Victoriano Sindo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gerli FC's Nestor Gabon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Gerli FC's Luis Cresconio in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RIO LIMAY's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Cresconio in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Joey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that Gerli FC were the better team. Gerli FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
