If Daniel Martxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Bernardo Galsino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 17 minutes into the match, Vino Tinto's goalkeeper Bernardo Galsino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvano Cristofol. Pedro Udalaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Udalaitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ceferino Dubardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Bernardo Galsino made a huge save. After 22 minutes, Vladimiro Montxo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vino Tinto and the Racing Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Vladimiro Montxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Etxepare took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Galsino. Vino Tinto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ceferino Dubardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Pancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Francis in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Francis to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Martxel got free with Patricio Pancho in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 57 minutes of play, Racing Club's Luis Marcones made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Galsino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Racing Club's Ceferino Dubardo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Ceferino Dubardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Galsino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Racing Club's Ceferino Dubardo suffered a sprained foot after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Benito Jax charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benito Jax the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 87 minutes into the game, one of Vino Tinto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Vino Tinto getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Daniel Martxel hit a great ball. If Luis Marcones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Vino Tinto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernan Mikelar's late challenge caught a Vino Tinto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernan Mikelar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Fernan Mikelar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Bruno Francis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vino Tinto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
