The supporters of Vino Tinto booed when RIO LIMAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Olayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Galsino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Inko in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Gau in the 9th minute of play forced Vino Tinto's goalkeeper Bernardo Galsino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Udalaitz during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vino Tinto's Pedro Udalaitz got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bernardo Galsino came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by RIO LIMAY's Tiburcio Inko. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Inko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Vino Tinto's zone, Tiburcio Inko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Galsino came out of the goal and Tiburcio Inko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Gau struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Bernardo Galsino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIO LIMAY. With an all-out effort, Vino Tinto's Octavio Joey threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bruno Francis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 29 played minutes RIO LIMAY got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Ayala. If Eugenio Erdiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 33rd minute of the match Pedro Udalaitz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pedro Udalaitz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Vino Tinto's Pedro Udalaitz got a free kick in the 34th minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Tiburcio Inko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIO LIMAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Inko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardo Galsino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiburcio Inko went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to RIO LIMAY getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Tiburcio Inko hit a great ball. Carlos Gau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bernardo Galsino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tiburcio Inko made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Tiburcio Inko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Galsino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The RIO LIMAY players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
