After a defensive mix-up in Leeds United Bernal's zone, Mateo Nerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Theodore came out of the goal and Mateo Nerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Nerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Silvio Theodore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leeds United Bernal's Leonardo Di Lorenzo in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leeds United Bernal's Silvio Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Nerio in the 31st minute of play. Mateo Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Theodore having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Melba's Mateo Nerio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Theodore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alonzo Dantel hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Mateo Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 42 minutes into the match, Melba's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Di Lorenzo came free, but Atilano Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Oalo in the 46th minute of play forced Melba's goalkeeper Atilano Gines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Casimiro Macerio's late challenge caught a Leeds United Bernal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casimiro Macerio helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Melba got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Macerio. Atilano Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Di Lorenzo in the 57th minute of play. Prudencio Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Gines having to interfere. With his leg Atilano Gines managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Leeds United Bernal's Prudencio Oalo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leeds United Bernal's Leonardo Di Lorenzo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Leeds United Bernal's Leonardo Di Lorenzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atilano Gines narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mateo Nerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Di Lorenzo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Prudencio Oalo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Atilano Gines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leeds United Bernal. The attack was good, but when Leonardo Di Lorenzo in the 90th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Prudencio Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonardo Di Lorenzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atilano Gines having to make a save.
