An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernán Díaz in the 26th minute of play forced Callate's goalkeeper Delmar Dunixi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laureano Victoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Tano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, River MdP's Norberto Yácono got a free kick in the 28th minute. Laureano Victoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Tano, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After recieving a nice pass, River MdP's Ángel Labruna tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernán Díaz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Alberto Pacorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Mateo Bertol in the 55th minute really tested Laureano Victoro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Damian Cordara struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Delmar Dunixi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Thomas kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match.
