When Alfredo Medero came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the La Mano de Dios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Medero couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, La Mano de Dios's Jeronimo Jerico got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Alfredo Uzuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Marcelo Vachon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Mano de Dios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luque AFC the free kick. Anier Hug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ismael Endura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Luque AFC defense, Alfredo Medero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Lehen. The Luque AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Lehen should have stopped the shot. La Mano de Dios's Alfredo Medero got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Luque AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Sotil came free, but Eriberto Lehen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Endura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Hug in the 40th minute. Delmiro Quilo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Luque AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Jerico came free, but Eriberto Lehen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Anier Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luque AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Hug was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Endura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anier Hug in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Endura saved La Mano de Dios from getting behind. La Mano de Dios were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Luque AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeronimo Jerico took the corner. The corner led La Mano de Dios's Jeronimo Jerico to fire away a dangerous shot which Eriberto Lehen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Anier Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, La Mano de Dios's Segundo Sayveon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Mano de Dios eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
