Spectators: 7225 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Atilano Frutos made the kick off and thus started the match. Placido Osoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Salado FC's Placido Osoitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Modesto Cucao. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Pueblito's Modesto Cucao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Pueblito from getting a goal against them. Zeledon Cuarto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Modesto Cucao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Pueblito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Mazuste to maneuver through the defense. If Zeledon Cuarto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, Diego Demario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pueblito and the Salado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, one of Pueblito:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pueblito. The supporters of Salado FC booed when Pueblito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Mazuste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Placido Osoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Atilano Frutos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pueblito's supporters rose to their feet, but Atilano Frutos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Gregorio Senon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the game, Celedonio Tadzio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pueblito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salado FC the free kick. A collision led to Pueblito getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Celedonio Tadzio hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the match, Placido Osoitz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Modesto Cucao saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Zeledon Cuarto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Atilano Frutos came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Pueblito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Frutos couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Placido Osoitz to strike the kick off in the second half. Modesto Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Cuarto in the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblito's zone, Placido Osoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Cucao came out of the goal and Placido Osoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeledon Cuarto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Cucao having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Salado FC's Domingos Peyo got a free kick in the 64th minute. Roman Quico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Norberto Gil managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Pueblito's Roman Quico fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Domingos Peyo's late challenge caught a Pueblito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Peyo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Salado FC's Domingos Peyo got a free kick in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Salado FC's zone, Roman Quico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Gil came out of the goal and Roman Quico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeledon Cuarto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pueblito fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Salado FC. Benicio Rainerio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Modesto Cucao. 3-0. After 88 minutes, Zeledon Cuarto made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pueblito's Modesto Cucao tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Placido Osoitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Modesto Cucao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Modesto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Rainerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 98th minute Atilano Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Gil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salado FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
