Faustino Pio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblito's zone, Lucio Tonete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Cucao came out of the goal and Lucio Tonete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustino Pio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Frutos in the 9th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Victorino Elia in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by QBSLC's Lucio Tonete. Pueblito's Modesto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Joanes in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Quico in the 19th minute of play forced QBSLC's goalkeeper Faustino Pio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Fabricio Mazuste cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Faustino Pio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24thth minute of the game Atilano Frutos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but QBSLC's Faustino Pio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Ramond in the 26th minute of play forced QBSLC's goalkeeper Faustino Pio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pueblito's Modesto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Joanes in the 31st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

56 minutes into the match, QBSLC's goalkeeper Faustino Pio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Quico. Osvaldo Isusko's late challenge caught a Pueblito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Isusko helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pueblito booed when QBSLC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Isusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Osvaldo Isusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Fabricio Mazuste sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faustino Pio skillfully saved the ball. Nestor Urbasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Modesto Cucao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Benigno Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Cucao having to interfere. When Lucio Tonete came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the QBSLC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Tonete couldn't finish the play. Lucio Tonete blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modesto Cucao having to make a save. In the 71st minute, Laureano Jayvier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustino Pio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Frutos in the 74th minute of play. When Benigno Joanes came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the QBSLC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Joanes couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Fabricio Mazuste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pueblito were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over QBSLC's much stronger midfield.
