When Amancio Quinito fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riachuelo's protests and gave Amancio Quinito a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pueblito booed when Riachuelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Quinito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Playo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Ramond charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeledon Ramond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zeledon Ramond kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Teofilo Erauso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riachuelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Erauso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute Teofilo Erauso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Mazuste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Playo having to interfere. Robustiano Playo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Frutos went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Atilano Frutos succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 34th minute, Roman Quico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Modesto Cucao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustin Palban in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Teofilo Erauso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Modesto Cucao. That made the score 1-2 in the 40 minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teofilo Erauso to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Pueblito's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Palban came free, but Modesto Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riachuelo's Agustin Palban got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atilano Frutos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Robustiano Playo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Pueblito's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Erauso came free, but Modesto Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes, Atilano Frutos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pueblito and the Riachuelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pueblito's Atilano Frutos got a free kick in the 61st minute. Armando Frasquito didn't quite understand what happened when in the 68 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Roman Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Agustin Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Riachuelo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pueblito were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
