Rene Frederik charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 12 minutes of play, La Mano de Dios's Alfredo Medero made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norberto Gil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ismael Endura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Senon in the 21st minute of play. Alfredo Medero might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Gil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Medero ran back to his position shaking his head. Segundo Sayveon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Gil having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Domingos Peyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match, Alfredo Medero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Norberto Gil was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 40 minutes, Gregorio Senon made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. La Mano de Dios's Ismael Endura tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. La Mano de Dios's Ismael Endura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Senon in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Senon in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Endura saved La Mano de Dios from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Senon in the 58th minute of play forced La Mano de Dios's goalkeeper Ismael Endura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Placido Osoitz got free with Ismael Endura in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ismael Endura made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Placido Osoitz sent off a good shot on target. Ismael Endura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Osoitz in the 70th minute. La Mano de Dios's Alfredo Medero got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benicio Rainerio was slow to take the kick. During this time Salado FC's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Salado FC booed when La Mano de Dios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Jeraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute of the match Benicio Rainerio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Endura showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Norberto Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Medero in the 90th minute of play. With a little luck, La Mano de Dios's Ismael Endura got control of the ball when Domingos Peyo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
