In the 5th minute Baldomero Gorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Osmundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Eternos's Celestino Osmundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Uzuri in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Alfredo Uzuri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celestino Osmundo. Alfredo Uzuri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Celestino Osmundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Hug in the 19th minute. Desiderio Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Desiderio Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zhou Yao Wei scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eriberto Lehen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anier Hug's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Celestino Osmundo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Celestino Osmundo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baldomero Gorri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. Celestino Osmundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Hug in the 35th minute. Zhou Yao Wei struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Eriberto Lehen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Eternos. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zhou Yao Wei to make the kick off.
