Robustiano Playo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Riachuelo's Robustiano Playo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Ubendu in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Riachuelo's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Baumer came free, but Robustiano Playo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match, Teofilo Erauso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Esteban Constancio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Esteban Constancio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Erauso in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Riachuelo's zone, Jose Ubendu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robustiano Playo came out of the goal and Jose Ubendu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viamonte's goalkeeper Esteban Constancio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jose Ubendu to strike the kick off in the second half. Robustiano Playo was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Alonzo Artaldo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alonzo Artaldo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Robustiano Playo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jose Ubendu went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Robustiano Playo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Ubendu in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Teofilo Erauso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teofilo Erauso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Viamonte fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Viamonte's Jose Ubendu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jose Ubendu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Robustiano Playo made a huge save. Robustiano Playo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Ezkerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Roque Behe hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Jose Ubendu struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Robustiano Playo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viamonte. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jose Ubendu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Playo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viamonte's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
