Aristides Aimar started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Colón de Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Danel. Ricardo Tebaldo struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Celso Garin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Analistas FC. After a rather tough play, Colón de Santa Fe's Melquiades Maiorga got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Analistas FC's Aristides Aimar in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Colón de Santa Fe's Celso Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Hats in the 15th minute of play. After 20 minutes, Ricardo Tebaldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Analistas FC and the Colón de Santa Fe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Analistas FC's Ricardo Tebaldo got a free kick in the 20th minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Isaac Caradaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colón de Santa Fe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Caradaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Modesto Intxixu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Ulises Maore when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Hats in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Garin saved Colón de Santa Fe from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Analistas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Caradaro came free, but Ulises Maore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Aristides Aimar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Analistas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Benigno Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Garin having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Colón de Santa Fe's Isaac Caradaro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulises Maore. That made the score 1-1 after 46 minutes of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaac Caradaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Tebaldo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Benigno Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Analistas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Hats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Hustaz during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Analistas FC booed when Colón de Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Hustaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes Analistas FC got a freekick which was hit by Justino Licerio. Isaac Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Caradaro in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulises Maore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Isaac Caradaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colón de Santa Fe's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Caradaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Maore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulises Maore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Caradaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Melquiades Maiorga charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Maiorga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Colón de Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Maiorga. The long shot by Paulo Rivas in the 84th minute really tested Celso Garin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Colón de Santa Fe's Celso Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Aimar in the 92nd minute of play.
