After a defensive mix-up in Covunco's zone, Luciano Chabier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Eliazar came out of the goal and Luciano Chabier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, san ʟorenzo de ʙoedo's Ramiro Ospin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dario Eliazar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ramiro Ospin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Eliazar having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Diego Firmin made the kick off in the second half. Honorio Ezkerra kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Covunco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of san ʟorenzo de ʙoedo:s goal. The goalkeeper, Dario Eliazar, was totally fooled by san ʟorenzo de ʙoedo's Adolfo Saturnin, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind san ʟorenzo de ʙoedo's goalkeeper Jeremias Jokin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute Ramiro Ospin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Qwinton hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Astor Dino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Jokin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Covunco's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Ospin came free, but Dario Eliazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Eliazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Garci in the 81st minute of play. Diego Firmin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Jokin having to interfere. Luciano Chabier was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Astor Dino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Jokin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Dino in the 96th minute of the match. The Covunco supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching san ʟorenzo de ʙoedo's performance. The match ended with a win for san ʟorenzo de ʙoedo.
